partners 3Partnering with IFMR Finance Foundation (IFF) means not only endorsing the significance of ensuring that every individual and every enterprise has complete access to financial services, but also being instrumental in making that happen.

We identify the various pieces of the financial system that affect the accomplishment of our mission and address them through:

Research
We focus our research efforts in understanding the various pathways in which access to financial services impact households and economies; the perception, needs and behaviours of individuals and households, particularly low-income households, with respect to financial services; and the regulation and supervision of the financial system.

Policy Advocacy
A substantial part of our energies are focused on policy advocacy. Some of the areas that we have involved in include being instrumental in bringing about the Business Correspondent (BC) Regulation in India; shaping the development of the Securitisation guidelines for Microfinance; being a member of the Market Participants Committee of the Pension Funds Regulation and Development Authority (PFRDA), the National Committee on Leveraging Postal Networks for Financial Access, the Centre for Global Development Taskforce that released Principles for Financial Access – endorsed by the G-20, and the FICCI Financial Inclusion Committee; and partnering with SBI in designing its national BC roll-out strategy.

Collaborations
We collaborate with institutions such as SBI and programmes such as the Poorest States Inclusive Growth Programme of the DFID to take our mission forward.
